Music legend Emmylou Harris will headline a very special concert to benefit her animal shelter next week.

Woofstock takes place at Fontanel in Nashville on August 18, and also features performances by Buddy Miller, Mike Farris and many more.

Emmylou Harris created Bonaparte's Retreat to rescue dogs who were unadoptable from Nashville Humane Association. It has evolved into rescuing dogs who have run out of time at Metro Nashville Animal Control. Bonaparte’s Retreat is dedicated to providing nurturing foster care for shelter dogs when their allotted time at the shelter has elapsed. Their mission is to prevent these wonderful animals from being euthanized and to place them in permanent, loving homes.

The event costs $20, and gates open at 10am. Performances take place all day until 4pm. You are encouraged to take your dogs with you.
