Celebrity supporters joined The Thirst Project founder Seth Maxwell on Tuesday, October 30,for an evening of beverage tastings at The Avenue in Hollywood to raise awareness for the global water crisis and help to raise funds for building fresh water wells in developing countries.

The Thirst Project is a non-profit organization that exists to raise awareness of and bring solutions to the clean water crisis through Education Outreach Programs that educate, equip and empower individuals to explore the human journey and take action in projects that create radical and sustainable global change, and champion hope and respect for the positive values of life. As well as build fresh water wells in communities suffering from the global water crisis. Started by college students, the Thirst Project now reaches out to colleges and high schools to educate their students on the nearly 1 billion people who still do not have access to clean drinking water and proper sanitation. In less than 3 years, its members have reached over 500,000 students and in turn raised $1.3 million. This money has provided 50,000 people with drinkable water. In these communities, disease, child mortality, AIDS, etc. drop dramatically thanks to the clean water wells.

Among the celebrities in attendance were Christian Serratos (Twilight: Breaking Dawn part 2), Diane Neal (Law and Order SVU), Chelsea Ricketts (AMC’s The Killing),Drake Bell (iCarly), Geno Segers (Pair of Kings), Jillian Rose Reed (Awkward), Michael Welch (Twilight movie series), Nikki DeLoach (Awkward), Jeannie Mai (Fashion Expert), Pip (The Voice), Sarah Hackett (Artist/Singer-Songwriter), Allie Gonino (The Lying Game), Amy Paffrath (Dumbbells), Drew Seeley (Singer/Songwriter), Kristina Pesic (Scott Pilgrim Vs.
