50 million people in America battle hunger every day. In an effort to address this national issue, Beyonce and Tina Knowles have launched the Backstage with Beyoncé Auction in partnership with global charity auction site Charitybuzz.

Three incredible backstage experiences in Los Angeles, New York and one surprise city, including the opportunity to be a part of the styling team for The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, will hit the online auction block this month to raise funds for their Miss A Meal campaign.

The Miss A Meal initiative, a campaign orchestrated by Bread of Life, Inc., is designed to meet the needs of the hungry by encouraging people to miss a meal and pass the plate by donating the money they would have spent. The donation is then used to feed those who are less fortunate.

In each city, the lucky winning bidder and one guest will spend the day behind the scenes as part of the styling team led by award-winning designer Tina Knowles. Additionally, they’ll each have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Beyoncé and pose for photos backstage.

The auction packages also include lunch with Tina Knowles and a personal tour of the wardrobe rooms that house the incredible costumes and show-stopping stage looks. After experiencing a day as part of the styling team for Beyoncé, the winner and their guest, will receive VIP tickets for the evening’s performance and a Mrs. Carter Show World Tour “goodie bag” filled with some of Beyoncé’s favorite things.

Bidding on the Los Angeles backstage experience launches today, May 20, and runs through June 11 at Charitybuzz.com/MissAMeal. Bidding to head backstage in New York will begin June 27 and run through July 17. A backstage experience in one additional surprise city will also be announced this summer. Each auction package is valued at $25,000.

“We look forward to seeing the winners of the auction and showing them tour life, which is a lot of fun,” said Tina Knowles. “They get to have a great time while making a donation and a difference in people’s lives.”

Through their Bread of Life non-profit organization, Pastor Rudy and Juanita Rasmus have been providing solutions for the hungry and homeless in Houston, TX for the past 21 years. Bread of Life serves 14,000 meals per month and through a Community Wide Food Fair and Senior Supplemental Food Program; they distribute nine tons of fresh food and produce every Wednesday. Additional programs include medical services, job development and placement, case management, recovery groups, drug and alcohol counseling, life skills training, The Culinary Art Program, The Art Project Houston and the Knowles-Temenos Place Apartments.

“Bidders from around the world come to Charitybuzz to find amazing experiences that make a difference. The Backstage with Beyoncé Online Auction will give fans the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to live their wildest dream for a fantastic cause,” said Charitybuzz CEO & Founder Coppy Holzman. “By offering these incredible experiences for charity, Beyoncé and Tina Knowles are setting an example for entertainers everywhere. Together, we expect to make a big impact for Miss A Meal and Bread for Life’s programs alleviating hunger.”
