Model and actress Lucy Pinder has donated the ONLY final issue of ’lad’s mag’ NUTS that she has signed to help support tigers in the wild through the TigerTime campaign.

The magazine features NUTS favourite Lucy on the front cover in a sad farewell to the publication that folded in April this year.

“This is the only copy of the magazine that I’ve signed and I would love it to raise loads of money to help support the work of TigerTime,” says Lucy, who signed up with the campaign in December 2012 and has been instrumental in helping to raise awareness of the plight of the tiger in the wild both through social media and through active campaigning. She joined the team at Westminster to call for more time for tigers after CITES gave the endangered animals a paltry 15 mins at the meeting in 2013 and has donated a ‘tiger postcard’ for the last two years raising over £500 for the cause.

“As a massive animal lover it is appalling to watch as the human race is on the verge of annihilating the wild tiger population. We have a responsibility to ensure the survival of these magnificent big cats in the wild. We should be ashamed that the number of wild tigers has fallen from 100,000 to just over 3,000 in 80 years. There are various things that can be done to help stop this and taking a few seconds to sign up to TigerTime is the least any conscientious animal lover can do,” says Lucy.

“With Global Tiger Day on July 29th it’s the perfect time to push awareness and raise funds for wild tigers which suffer at the hands of poachers, habitat loss and human encroachment,” adds TigerTime campaign manager, Vicky Flynn.

You can bid on the signed copy of NUTS on eBay here. The auction ends on August 4th.

100% will go toward tiger conservation in India, Russia and Thailand where TigerTime supports anti-poaching, education, community outreach and undercover investigation work. For more about what they do or to sign up to help ban the trade in tiger parts from all sources see www.tigertime.info.

Lucy is one of a host of celebrities who lend their support to TigerTime including Sir Paul McCartney, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Fry, Kirsty Gallacher, Deborah Meaden, Rickie Lee Jones, Joan Jett and Melanie C. See them all here.
