The event was part of Gabriel & Co.’s charitable efforts through their Gabriel Love Foundation. Gabriel & Co. jewelry and Afghan Hands embroidered shawls were sold during the event to raise money. The shawls are embroidered by the Afghan widows effected by Afghan Hands. Afghan Hands is a nonprofit organization that teaches skills to help Afghan widows gain independence, literacy, and livable wages. These women learn to create embroidered shawls and scarves, while also attending classes. For most of these women, this is the only way they are educated.

Select Gabriel & Co. pieces will continue to be sold on the Afghan Hands website with a 25% discount. All proceeds will benefit Afghan Hands.
