Every year for 49 years there has been an L.A. County Holiday Celebration, but this year organizers decided to do something different by supporting the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank.

The event took place at the Dorthy Chandler Pavilion at Music Center on Christmas Eve. The unique program was broadcast live on local Los Angeles area station KCET. The program featured choirs, musicians and dance groups of diverse cultural backgrounds. America’s Got Talent fans got the treat of watching the family group Celtic Spring perform. If one plans to travel to Los Angeles area for Christmas in the future, don’t miss this show!

The cultural explosion did not stop with musical arts. Throughout the evening many local Chefs showed their culinary art talent while helping to host the show. Food Network’s Jeff Henderson – better known as Chef Jeff of the Chef Jeff Project – is a California native and donated his time among other distinguished Chefs with a dedicated block of hosting duty. The renown Chef was once a drug dealer in San Diego. Chef Jeff’s checkered past inspires him to commit to community services and charitable acts.
