this week country-star couple Brittany Aldean and Jason Aldean along with celebrity friends Shawn Johnson East, Andrew East and RaeyLynn co-hosted an exclusive charity event supporting the Vera Bradley and Blessings in a Backpack back-to-school tour at Shwab Elementary School in Nashville, KS.

The VIP crew joined the partnering brands in continuing the coast-to-coast philanthropy pledge in donating 25,000 backpacks filled with food for under privileged kids and their families across America. The school’s gymnasium was quickly transformed for the students who were treated to a kid-friendly memorable afternoon filled with games and take-home prizes including a pirate bounce, ring toss, skee ball, whack-a-mole, life size connect-four, inflatable obstacle course, mini golf, double shot basketball, two-minute drill football, sand art, spin art, and much more. Everyone enjoyed colorful cotton candy and popcorn in between playing the numerous carnival activities.
Over the next two weeks, Vera Bradley and Blessings in a Backpack’s philanthropic partnership will continue to mobilize communities, individuals, and resources to provide new backpacks and food for children who might otherwise go hungry.
