Some of country music’s brightest stars came out for a special concert in Clarksville, Tennessee, in the weekend.

Carrie Underwood, John Rich, Jake Owen, Hank Williams Jr, Rodney Atkins and Rodney Watts rocked Fort Campbell at the Salute to the Troops Concert on August 14 for the soldiers and families of Fort Campbell, KY, whose 101st Airborne Division is returning from their service in the Middle East.

The event-filled biannual celebration this year runs from August 14-20 and pays tribute to the Screaming Eagles of the 101st Airborne Division.

“I got to go to Iraq a couple years ago and that was definitely an eye opening experience,” said Underwood. “It’s kind of like any opportunity that comes up that works with everything that I am doing – [it’s a] good thing to do.”
