This past Saturday (March 6), Joan Jett and the Blackhearts performed at the 23rd Annual Celebrity Dog Wash Festival in Juniper, Florida, at Safe Harbor.

Jett is a long-time vegetarian who supports the Safe Harbor No Kill Animal Sanctuary and Hospital and finds being around animals to be very rewarding.

Safe Harbor No Kill Animal Sanctuary and Hospital is one of the few sanctuaries in the world that accept pit bulls. They offer many services to people with reduced rates and believe that animals should get the care they deserve, whether or not the owner has the ability to pay. You can find more information on the sanctuary here.
