Miley Cyrus has joined with YouTube’s Video Volunteers channel to encourage people to give service to charities.

“I think it’s just really important to always give back in as many ways as you can,” says the star in a video on the site. “There are so many ways to get involved. If you’re watching this video, you probably have all the tools you need to get involved and make a difference…. Today, I’m asking you to participate in YouTube Video Volunteer Program. Create a video about a service organization that you really care about…. The top three videos will appear alongside my video about Get Ur Good On, so get on it, and get out there!”

Get Ur Good On is a social network established by the star that brings together children and youth to support each other in the mission to do good in their communities.

Miley also wants you to create your own video for Video Volunteers. The winning entry will be posted on the YouTube homepage and be shown at this year’s National Conference on Volunteering and Service. Click here to find out more.
