Here’s your chance to see Usher up close and personal in New Zealand while benefiting victims of the devastating Christchurch earthquake.

The whole country has banded together to help the stricken city, where the death toll is expected to reach 240. Auckland CBD business association Heart of the City and local inner-city businesses have joined forces to help those affected by the Canterbury Earthquake.

From Monday 28 February until Monday 7 March 2011, Trade Me’s BIG little store will see a myriad of goods and services donated by central Auckland businesses auctioned off in aid of the Red Cross Christchurch Earthquake Fund.

With over 100 unique items up for grabs already from a variety of the City’s best restaurants, shops, bars and entertainment venues, Heart of the City is urging Kiwi’s to visit the online store daily to ensure they don’t miss out, are first to see the new items added daily and donate to a very sincere cause.

Among the items going under the hammer are:

  • Two Gold tickets to Usher’s sold out Vector Arena concert in April
  • A $1000 beauty hamper from DFS Galleria
  • Two Louis Vuitton bags
  • A 2010 All Blacks jersey signed by the Grand Slam winning squad from adidas
  • A Sony Alpha 380 digital SLR camera from Camera and Camera
  • A Raymond Weil Don Giovanni collection watch RRP $8,100 from Partridge Jewellers
  • A Pete Wheeler oil on canvas RRP $4,500 from a local gallery
  • Lunch for four at The Grove restaurant
  • Four $500 Smith and Caughey’s gift vouchers
  • Five handbags and ten wallets from Briarwood
  • A hairstyle and GHD straightening irons package from Ryder Salon
  • A made to measure men’s suit from Crane Brothers
  • Jewellery from Agatha Paris
  • Designer offerings from Zambesi, Workshop, Kate Sylvester, and WORLD

Alex Swney CEO Heart of the City says "we are humbled but in no way surprised by the generosity of the central Auckland businesses, and have no doubt this will be reflected in the funds that our combined efforts generate.

We challenge other businesses to join us in donating goods to this auction to maximise the support we can provide to our Christchurch friends" he concludes.

The auction can be accessed here.

To donate goods and services to the auction contact info@biglittlecity.co.nz by 4th March 2011.
