Jackie Chan met with the Consul-General of Japan in Hong Kong to discuss his upcoming celebrity charity concert – Love Without Borders 3/11 Candelight Gala – on March 29.

Over 100 stars will join Jackie at Victoria Park in Hong Kong on April 1. The action star has also recorded a special song for the event to raise money for victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Jackie has also recorded a video explaining how easy it is to lead a charitable life.

“I’ve been doing [charity] for over 30 years,” he says in the Chinese language video. "Actually I think that doing charity is very easy. Charity has taught me how to be a better person. Charity has taught me a lot of things.

“I always ask the people around me – how many pairs of jeans do you have at home? How many bags and pairs of shoes do you have? If every month or two you buy one less pair of shoes or jeans, you can help a person – maybe a child – half a year or a full year of school fees. It’s that simple.”
