From CauseJust4Paws.org: "Our event will benefit the Southern California rescue group: The Ark Animal Rescue, and SoCo rescue. They currently rescue dogs from high kill shelters and place them in foster homes until they can find them they’re forever home. They also make sure the dogs are well taken care of with vet check ups, spade/neutered, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on all vaccines. As you know, rescue groups are always desperately in need of funds to help out displaced animals.

“We are holding a silent auction, as well as setting up tables and having companies donate food, giveaways, and even sell items for cheap that would go to the charity, plus dog adoptions and people could sign up to foster dogs as well. We want to make this dog and family friendly. We’re having bands play for entertainment, a sponsored bar, face painting, and food.”

The event takes place on Saturday, August 6, at Sportie LA, 7753 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles from 11am. More information can be found here.
