A Virginia 501©(3) which accepts donations of meat from hunters, processes the meat professionally, and distributes it to the needy. The scheme began in 1991 and following its initial success, it became a separate non-profit organization in 1993.

By 2014, the organization had provided over 22 million quarter-pound servings of venison since its program began.
