Texas head football coach Mack Brown, recording artist Jack Ingram, and actor Matthew McConaughey are excited to announce the Mack, Jack & McConaughey (MJ&M) fundraising and entertainment series of events returns April 24-25, 2014 in Austin, Texas.

Talent and a complete schedule of events will be announced soon.

The inaugural event was on April 11-12, 2013, and raised nearly $1 million to benefit a handful of organizations that all reflect MJ&M’s goal to empower kids.

“We could not have been more pleased with the outcome of this year’s MJ&M. Friends from across the nation came together to support this amazing effort to help youngsters in our community,” said Brown, “all the while enjoying an unforgettable, wonderful time in Austin. We all cannot wait to make an even greater impact in 2014.”

Through this inaugural event, MJ&M will impact the lives of children throughout Texas, California, Louisiana, and more than 23 countries around the world.

Every year, MJ&M will support select organizations that share the principals’ goal to empower kids. In 2013, the funds raised through MJ&M supported The Rise School of Austin, just keep livin Foundation, HeartGift, CureDuchenne, and Grounded in Music.

The inaugural MJ&M event kicked off with a series of sold out events including a successful gala night, featuring a performance by Grammy Award-winning artist John Mellencamp. Appearances were made by football greats Vince Young and Colt McCoy as well as baseball star “The Rocket” Roger Clemens. MJ&M continued on April 12 with its Celebrity Classic Golf Tournament at Barton Creek Resort, a Fashion Show with Lela Rose at Neiman Marcus, and the sold-out Jack Ingram & Friends concert at ACL Live at The Moody Theater. Jack Ingram performed and emceed the show that also featured Kris Kristofferson, Guy Clark, Randy Travis, Bruce Robison, Bobby Pinson, Bob Schneider, Hayes Carll, Holly Williams, Radney Foster, Allen Shamblin, and Todd Snider.
