Grammy nominated country music singer/songwriter and four time Country Music Association Female Vocalist Of The Year, Martina McBride, and her charitable organization, Team Martina, have launched a campaign to help a Guatemalan orphanage get music instruments.

Fundraising for the event called, “Everlasting Music For Kids”, has launched online, having raised already over $25,000 so far. These funds will create a music program and provide care in McBride’s name to kids at Covenant House International, a home for needy and abused children in Guatemala. Team Martina is creating the program to provide classes and music instruments for orphaned girls, ages 9-15, who live at Covenant House.

Fans can donate to help Martina’s music program online here.

McBride just released a brand new album called “Everlasting” – a collection of iconic soul and pop songs.

“Having visited Covenant House earlier this year and seen firsthand the great work they do for teens, I’m excited about this new project,” said Martina. “I know as well as anyone how music can change lives. It makes me happy to think music is going to be introduced to a group of young girls who can truly benefit from it.”

Covenant House provides immediate care and housing for young girls who’ve been orphaned, abandoned and victims of abuse and human trafficking.
