August is Blogust – a month-long digital dialogue, bringing more than 25 of the most beloved online writers, photo and video bloggers and Shot@Life champions together to help change the world through their words and imagery.

Can a comment or share make a difference? With Blogust, it can. Each day a blogger will write a personal story about Happy and Healthy Firsts. Every time you comment on or share the Blogust posts, Walgreens will help provide a life-saving vaccine for children around the world who need them most.

Blogust is brought to you by Shot@Life, a United Nations Foundation campaign that educates, connects and empowers Americans to champion vaccines as one of the most cost-effective ways to save the lives of children in developing countries.

Among the bloggers is Supernanny Jo Frost, who wrote: "This year, 6.6 million children will die from a preventable disease before they turn the age of 5, which would have been 6.6 million first thoughts at thinking about big dreams. Every child should have the right of passage to be healthy enough to celebrate the toddler years.

“Here’s the good news!

“We can change this reality and help save kid’s lives. That’s why I am asking for you to join Shot@Life’s Blogust to make sure every child has a shot at getting ready for back to school fun. For every comment and social media share on my blog during the month of August, Walgreens will help provide a vaccine for a child in need around the world.”
