Four-year-old Claudia got an extra special treat during her music therapy session last week when Simon Cowell made a surprise appearance.

Simon came down to visit the Nordoff Robbins Andrew Lloyd Webber Music Therapy unit and the BRIT School ahead of receiving his award at the 24th Music Industry Trusts Award on Monday 2 November in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the music and entertainment industry and many charitable causes.

As well as meeting Claudia and some Nordoff Robbins music therapists, Simon also had the chance to meet Ed. When he was 22, he was hit by a speeding taxi and spent six months in a coma. Nordoff Robbins music therapy helped transform Ed’s life and they’re now very proud to call him a Nordoff Robbins ambassador.
