Actress Jennifer Aniston turned rescuer during the weekend when she came to the aid of a dog running loose along Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills.

The star of the current hit movie Marley and Me was reportedly driving along the busy road when she spotted the stray pooch that was in danger of being run over. Stopping her car and jumping out, Aniston managed to grab the canine by its collar before it came to any harm. The dog was later reunited with its owner.

Aniston is known to be a dog lover, owning several of her own. She also shared her thoughts about her canine companions while promoting Marley and Me last month.

“Men come and go but there really is no relationship like the one you have with a dog,” Aniston told USA Today. “But then they don’t live as long as they should. You have to say goodbye way too soon. It’s just so sad. It makes me so sad. But their love is unconditional and I love that.”
