Singer Jack Johnson – who will soon release his long awaited live album, En Concert – has donated clothes to an all girl boarding school that is trying to encourage female education in Tanzania.

According to Johnson’s website, AICT Tanners High School “is one of Tanzania’s few, widely scattered public schools. Kids from long distances are sent there for their only chance at an education. They must move to Pahi and find someone to take them in. The Tanner Family along with the Grounds family helped to build a dorm for 60 girls. Today 230 girls live there at no charge.”

Johnson made a generous donation of T-shirts to the girls at the school to be used as uniforms.
