Ellen DeGeneres once again showed her outstanding humanity on her long-running talk show Ellen this week when she donated $10,000 and a new car to a family struggling to make ends meet this Christmas.
Single mother Rozina Pijuan had written to the talk show as part of “Doughvember” – Ellen’s month-long charity drive to help the underprivileged cope with Christmas and the credit crunch.
As well as the cash, the 26-year-old mother also received a GMC Terrain SUV and a year’s worth of subway tickets.
