Recently launched Makatto, an online selling website, has garnered much attention after adding to its website content celebrity auctions sponsoring charitable causes.
Proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the American Heart Association, and the Red Cross, among others.
Users and first time visitors can bid on items donated from big names, such as Conan O'Brien, Nicole Scherzinger, actress Gabourey Sibide, Steve Smith, Thomas Jones, Jimmy Cliff, musician Common and Audrina Patridge just to name a few, and have the additional option of donating their winning bid to any charity of their choice.
Auctions have a run time average of 13 days before a brand new set of donations are listed by fresh new stars for another round of bidding. Some of which items include shoes previously owned and signed by Shakira, an ipod case signed by Phil Laak, a videogame signed by Steve Smith, and Nicole Scherzinger’s jeans autographed by the starlet herself. Makatto has garnered much popularity and will continue to generate traffic by reaching out to big names to benefit a great cause.
