Grab a tool kit, lace up your sneakers and get ready to walk with the stars at the Habitat For Humanity San Fernando/Santa Clarita Valleys’ fundraiser, “American Dream Walk,” at Pacoima Plaza on Saturday, October 16, 2010.
Join Dancing with the Stars’ Mark Ballas and 90210’s Trevor Donovan on a 5K walk from Pacoima Plaza to The Habitat Pacoima Site. Help raise a wall for Habitat, then walk back to Pacoima Plaza for a celebration with BBQ picnic and celebrity performances. This is a family-friendly event.
Celebrities helping out include Matt Lanter (90210), The Laker Girls, Ariel Winter and Nolan Gould (both from Modern Family), as well as more adult and youth stars from hit TV shows CSI, Medium, NCIS, The Young & The Restless, and more.
Habitat for Humanity provides affordable homes with 0% mortgages for low-income families. The Habitat Pacoima Project consists of 61 homes, with 37 already occupied and the remainder completed by summer 2011.
The event takes place at Pacoima Plaza, 13500 Paxton Street, Pacoima, CA 91331 on Saturday, October 16th, 2010, 8:30am – 12:30pm
