A London High Court libel judgement against The Daily Mail will require the British newspaper to compensate Sir Elton John to the tune of £100,000 ($188,000) for a defamatory article it printed about the star.

Elton promptly announced that he will donate the entirety of the damages directly to his own charity, the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
