Roberta Flack Charity Work, Events and Causes

Internationally hailed as one of the greatest songstresses of our time, GRAMMY Award winning Roberta Flack remains unparalleled in her ability to tell a story through her music. Her songs bring insight into our lives, loves, culture and politics, while effortlessly traversing a broad musical landscape from pop to soul to folk to jazz.

Roberta has partnered with the Hyde Leadership Charter School. It serves significantly disadvantaged children in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx and accepts all interested students at no cost.

The Hyde Leadership Charter School will offer an after-school music program to students 3-days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) 4:00-6:00PM. The program will be offered October to June and will expand each school year as the school grows.

The program, offered in partnership with Roberta Flack, is called “The Roberta Flack School of Music”. Roberta is a strong believer in inspiration as a catalyst for learning, and wants to offer the opportunity for young people to experience the magic and creativity that music can offer.
