Create Now is a 501 ©(3) non-profit organization founded in 1996 that transforms the lives of high-risk and at-risk youth through creative arts mentoring, education, resources and opportunities.
They serve disadvantaged, vulnerable young people ages 2-25 who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, orphaned, are left homeless, runaways, teen parents, substance abusers, victims of domestic violence, children of prisoners, gang members or incarcerated.
Through their therapeutic programs in music (Sound Off), writing (Write Now), visual arts (Take heArt) and the performing arts (Show Off), kids learn to express themselves in a positive manner versus the destructive ways that they have in the past.
With Artistic Journeys, each year they bring thousands of these children to concerts, plays and other cultural events at premiere venues throughout the region.
Create Now has reached over 25,000 of the most troubled youth in Southern California during the last 15 years.
