April’s cause, “Thank God For Kids,” was a partnership with the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, where McCreery performed for children and their families and also shared toys and toy instruments from the Opry’s retail collection.

Scotty was also part of a star-packed, two-show line-up at the Opry that also featured Florida Georgia Line, Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers, and Kellie Pickler, among others.

Throughout April, Opry fans were able to designate a portion of Opry show and special merchandise (Opry-themed toys and toy musical instruments) sales to the hospital when mentioning the code 4THEKIDS. Other activities throughout the month included an online charity auction as well as continued artist and Opry staff visits to the hospital.

This month, the Cause For Applause is the USO. Find out more here.
