Food Bank For New York City, the city’s leading hunger-relief organization working to end food poverty throughout the five boroughs, celebrated friends and vital community members at its annual Can Do Awards Dinner last week.

The star-studded annual gala is instrumental in raising funds and awareness to provide support for the 1.5 million New Yorkers who rely on Food Bank For New York City’s programs and services. This year’s event also commemorated the organization’s 35th anniversary with a special performance by New York natives and legendary hip-hop artists Salt-N-Pepa, who performed a medly of some of their greatest hits Whatta Man, Shoop and Push It. Following the official program, Bronx-native Kid Capri took over the sound system and kept guests on their feet at the Can Do After Party.

The evening’s Event Chairs were Scott R. Feldman and Jodisue Rosen with Honorary Chairs Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick. Other notable attendees included: Ted Allen, Kelsey Asbille, David Burtka, Casey Cott, Elvis Duran, Caitlin FitzGerald, Savannah Guthrie, Kristine Froseth, David Lauren, Lauren Bush Lauren, Chris Lowell, Debi Mazar and Gabriele Corcos, Marc Murphy, Alysia Reiner, Theodora Richards, Rosanna Scotto and others.
