Celebrity couple Nicole Richie and Joel Madden kicked off the new year on Saturday, January 3, with a special party for children from the Beyond Shelter organization.

The pair had fun with their young fans at California’s Magic Mountain amusement park in Valencia, joining them for rides and much more.

Beyond Shelter is a non-profit organization that provides permanent housing and support services for homeless families with children. Richie and Madden raised money for the organization in September last year through a texting initiative that collected $10,000 for a new playground. Their Richie Madden Children's Foundation is also active in raising cash for Beyond Shelter.
