The Open Hearts Foundation will hold its 2019 Open Hearts Gala at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA on Saturday, February 16, with CNN New Day weekend anchor Christi Paul, serving as the evening’s emcee.

The foundation is a social impact accelerator established in 2010 with a mission to empower emerging and growing nonprofit organizations that help people turn personal adversity into an opportunity to help others.

Three remarkable individuals, representing three different nonprofit organizations, will be honored at the event – each with an inspiring story that exemplifies the Open Hearts philosophy. The represented nonprofit organizations will all be awarded limited-edition Open Hearts sculptures created and donated by Jane Seymour, depicting her iconic open hearts design. In addition, the first annual Special Recognition Award to a former Open Hearts Grantee will be presented. Funds raised from the evening will go towards the Open Hearts Foundation’s contributions to these nonprofit organizations.

Honorees include Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry, honored for her work with the Jenesse Center, a domestic violence intervention program; Managing Director of The Perkins Fund, Sonja Hoel Perkins, honored for her creation of Project Glimmer, a program that inspires at-risk teenage girls; and CNN Hero and activist Susan Burton, honored for her nonprofit foundation A New Way of Life Reentry Project, a project that help formerly incarcerated women transition back into society.

Attendees include actress Jane Seymour, founder of the Open Hearts Foundation; Terry Fator, America’s Got Talent; Grammy award-winning producer Randy Jackson.
