German model Claudia Schiffer is set to attend a special Christmas charity event for UNICEF UK.

This Christmas, Swarovski are helping UNICEF to spread a little Christmas sparkle with a festive event to launch the 2009 Swarovski and UNICEF partnership, raising money for UNICEF’s water and sanitation projects.

Nadja Swarovski is hosting a special fundraising evening on the 25 November at the Mandarin Oriental to raise funds for UNICEF. During the evening a stunning five metre Swarovski Crystal Snowflake made of 10,000 CRYSTALLIZED – Swarovski Elements designed by leading lighting designer Ingo Maurer will be illuminated over the streets of Knightsbridge.

The event will be attended by UNICEF UK Ambassador Claudia Schiffer and will include a performance by the English National Ballet. A special live auction will be taking place during the evening hosted by Sotheby’s.

To mark the partnership, throughout November and December, a commemorative Swarovski crystal ornament will be available to buy in store from Harvey Nichols, Harrods and the Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED London store.
