The We Promise Foundation, a children’s charity that has raised more than $2.5 million for over 500 children, is hosting The Red Carpet Celebrity Handbag Auction in partnership with eBay’s GivingWorks.

This event launched July 11 on eBay with a 7-day auction ending July 18; featuring an exclusive collection of one-of-a-kind handbags and accessories donated by the finest design houses, generous donors and celebrities like Courteney Cox, Kelly Preston, Kristin Cavallari, Megan Kelly, Alana Stewart and Gretchen Carlson.

The Red Carpet Celebrity Handbag Auction offers a wide variety of handbags to choose from including an autographed PRADA handbag from Courteney Cox’s private collection, a brand new Salvatore Ferragamo Python tote from their Exotic Collection, and a sold-out Michael Kor’s Uptown Astor Tote from Megan Kelly’s personal wardrobe.

“The best part is that all proceeds will provide incredible moments of happiness to courageous children struggling with life-threatening, degenerative, and chronic illnesses and put a smile on a child’s face by making their dreams come true,” states Jill Haag, We Promise Foundation Executive Director.

As the charitable arm of Chartway Federal Credit Union, the We Promise Foundation is dedicated to making dreams come true for children struggling with degenerative, life-threatening, debilitating or chronic illnesses, or those facing tremendous hardship. The foundation provides funding within the communities the credit union serves with a single goal: to put smiles on a child’s face by making their dreams come true. The foundation was launched in 2005 based on the enduring success of Chartway’s previous charitable events. Since 1999, Chartway and its We Promise Foundation have raised more than $2.5M in support of numerous Make-A-Wish Foundation chapters, St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children, Families of Autistic Children in Tidewater, The Front Row Foundation, Rock-n-Jock Charities and other Hampton Roads-area charitable groups.
