On October 13th, GUESS was thrilled to launch special edition women’s T-shirts in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, with 100% of the net proceeds going to benefit Santa Monica-based Sojourn Services for Battered Women and their Children.

“General Hospital” actress and Sojourn advocate Vanessa Marcil hosted an exclusive cocktail reception in Hollywood with best friend and famed celebrity trainer Jillian Michaels to celebrate the debut of a new line of GUESS charitable T-shirts designed to make a difference in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month (October.)

Celebrity friends, Sojourn supporters and GUESS fashionistas including Andy Garcia and his daughter, actress Dominik Garcia-Lorido, Holly Robinson-Peete, Alison Sweeney (who has been honored by the local organization), Jessica Lowndes and Danielle Fishel were on hand to shop for a cause at the GUESS store in Hollywood last night.

The shirts are now available at select California and Las Vegas GUESS retail locations, as well as online at www.GUESS.com. The T-shirt, $24, features words of inspiration drafted by 16-year-old Ella Marciano – Hope, Love, Courage, Strength, Community and Empower are designed in the shape of a heart, the symbol of love, and the graphic is penned in purple, the universal color of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
