Why is it so important you to attend the event tonight?

The work we having been doing with AHF (AIDS Health Care Foundation) is critical. The work I was doing with Artists for a New South Africa and the work we did with children and families affected by HIV in South Africa – at some point you look up in your own backyard and you see all the work that still needs to be done here, especially in the Black and heterosexual community. Many people think that they are immune to it and it can’t touch them. We in the Black community are being impacted more than any other community… It is not just a gay disease. It affects everybody.
