Next Tuesday, March 18, will see an eclectic array of New York-based musicians gather for a benefit concert on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the war in Iraq.

SPEAK UP! will be a powerful evening of music and activism, featuring performances from Norah Jones, Moby, David Byrne, the Scissor Sisters, Damien Rice, Lou Reed, and many more.

The event, which will also feature an exhibition of injured soldiers by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, is intended to provide people with defined options for action against the war.

The concert, which will be held at St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn, is already sold out, but more information can be found at the St. Ann’s Warehouse website.

Proceeds from the show will benefit United for Peace and Justice and Iraq Veterans Against the War.
