Ali Landry, Tori Spelling, Alison Sweeney and Constance Marie are some of the big names expected to attend this weekend’s Red CARpet celebrity charity event to raise awareness of child safety in cars.

September 10th’s Red CARpet Event is the first of its kind and will utilize celebrity parents to help increase awareness for the importance of this issue, and encourage people everywhere to educate themselves about child passenger safety by visiting SafeKids.org.

“Every year, thousands of children are tragically injured or killed in motor vehicle traffic crashes,” Ali Landry told CelebrityBabyScoop.com. "In fact, motor vehicle crashes in the U.S. are the leading cause of death for children age 3 and older. As a mom, that’s a really disturbing figure. So I thought I could help by getting the word out that securing children properly is the most effective thing that can be done to protect them in the event of a crash.

“On Saturday, September 10th I’ll be hosting the Red CARpet Event in Los Angeles. Presented by my new online venture SpokesMoms.com, and sponsored by Britax and Buick, the event will be the first of its kind and will utilize celebrity parents to help spread the word about the critical importance of child passenger safety. I’ll be joined by a group of honorary “Car Seat Ambassadors” – celebrity moms (or moms-to-be) who have all shown their dedication to bettering the lives of children everywhere."

Also expected to attend are Garcelle Beauvais (“Franklin & Bash”), Samantha Harris (“Entertainment Tonight”) and Kyle Richards (“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”); plus Dean McDermott (“Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood”), Kevin Frazier (“The Insider”), and many more.

A star-studded day of family-friendly fun, the Red CARpet Event will raise the public’s knowledge of these issues to help prevent injuries and keep families safe!

The event takes place at the Rivera Country Club in LA, 1250 Capri Drive, Pacific Palisades. More information can be found here.
