Children's Health Fund believes that the Affordable Care Act is critically important for America’s kids. Actress and child health advocate Julianne Moore is helping the CHF to SPEAK UP FOR KIDS in a new video that highlights the law’s benefits for children and reinforces why it is critical that children have access to quality health care.

Video: Standing Up for the Affordable Care Act

Julianne Moore is a member of the Children’s Health Fund Advisory Council. She says, “As a mother, I know how critical it is for children to have healthcare.”

Yesterday, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) scheduled a Congressional vote to try to repeal this legislation. The decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold the essence of the Affordable Care Act is good news for America’s children. With nearly 10 million children lacking health insurance and at least 15 million with insurance who experience other barriers to getting care, the ACA represents extraordinary progress toward the goal of making sure that no child is denied timely access to quality medical care.

Children’s Health Fund is disseminating this video to encourage Americans to SPEAK UP FOR KIDS and contact their Congressional representatives to express their views on the Affordable Care Act.

The Children’s Health Fund video also features Dr. Irwin Redlener, president and co-founder of Children’s Health Fund, as well as CHF medical directors from across America, who see young patients everyday as part of the Children’s Health Fund’s fleet of mobile medical units.
