Legendary comedian Jay Leno will be taking the stage to benefit CASA of Los Angeles at its 3rd Annual Evening to Foster Dreams Gala.

The fundraising dinner, which will take place on May 12, 2015 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, is held to honor community leaders who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to children, including children who have been abused or neglected and are in foster care. Rubicon Project is the event Underwriter.

Jay Leno, best known for his decades of excellence hosting The Tonight Show, has a long history of supporting children’s causes, including the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

“We are thrilled that Jay Leno has agreed to participate in our event,” said Lou Lucido, Gala Chair and COO of DoubleLine. “Seeing a true American comedy icon perform is a golden lining to an already incredible evening that will help a lot of children in foster care. This is a rare and wonderful opportunity for CASA and our supporters.”

Former California Secretary for Education and Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan will be presented with the Robert Morrison Community Service Award for his philanthropy and commitment to education, and capital project management firm Jensen + Partners and ZGF Architects LLP will be honored with the Bob Frandzel Memorial Award. Long-time CASA volunteer Renne Bilson will be presented with the CASA Lifetime Achievement Award. Father Greg Boyle, Founder and Executive Director of Homeboy Industries, will also receive special recognition. NBC4 Southern California weathercaster Fritz Coleman will serve as emcee.

One million dollars was raised at the 2014 event, and 750 people attended. All proceeds of the event benefit CASA’s programs of advocacy and support for abused and neglected children in Los Angeles County’s foster care system.

Additional information and tickets and sponsorship packages for the Evening to Foster Dreams Gala are available through CASA/LA’s website at casala.org.
