Eva Longoria, Hilary Swank and Sienna Miller are among a host of stars to be photographed with their jewelry for charity.

The celebrities will appear in posters for UNICEF's childhood reading project on behalf of MontBlanc, the jewelry and pen manufacturer that is an important international partner of the organization.

UNICEF and Montblanc have shared an important goal over the years – working together to fight illiteracy around the world by giving the “power to write” to children without proper access to education.

On Friday 20th February 2009, two days before the Academy Awards, the opening event of this year’s Montblanc charity initiative will take place at Paramount Studios, Los Angeles, hosted by Montblanc. The highlight of this evening is the unveiling of 12 unique portraits featuring twelve world-famous Hollywood actresses. Each actress will be present at the gala and will sign the posters. Each portrait – together with a unique Montblanc Writing Instrument – will then be auctioned to support education programs. Twelve fortunate people will get the golden opportunity to attend the Gala Dinner in return to their donation of US$4810 for the charity initiative. The registration for this will be possible until January 30th, at 4:00 p.m. CET.

Invitation applications and more information can be found here.
