Roger Daltrey will perform The Who's Tommy as part of the Teenage Cancer Trust's one week series of concerts at the Royal Albert Hall next month.

An evening of comedy kicks off the seven star-studded nights on Monday 21 March. The evening includes Liverpudlian stand-up and comedy award winner, John Bishop, Edinburgh festival favourites and TV regulars Kevin Bridges and Greg Davies, plus other very special guests.

On Tuesday 22 March Squeeze will be joined by an 18 piece orchestra giving a new twist to their inimitable South East London style. Since reuniting in 2007, Squeeze have undertaken four major sold out tours of the US and UK and have become firm festival favourites, with hits like Up The Junction, Tempted and Cool For Cats. Long-time friends and collaborators, The Feeling, will be special guests on the night, alongside a few other surprise appearances.

Fresh from a February tour of the US and Canada, Scottish rock trio and Brit Award nominees Biffy Clyro play their first UK date of 2011 on Wednesday 23 March. This is their second appearance for Teenage Cancer Trust, having first performed in 2006. This is their only available UK date before July when they headline Sonisphere Knebworth and play as special guests to long time Teenage Cancer Trust supporters Foo Fighters at this year’s sold out Milton Keynes gigs.

Following the phenomenal success of Quadrophenia for Teenage Cancer Trust in 2010, on Thursday 24 March, Roger Daltrey CBE, will perform The Who’s 1969 rock opera Tommy as well as early hits including material from Live at Leeds. The legendary musician and the driving force behind Concerts for Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall will perform the album about the “deaf, dumb and blind kid.” Selling over 20 million copies worldwide, Tommy was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame for ‘historical, artistic and significant’ value.

On Friday 25 March Liam Gallagher also returns to Teenage Cancer Trust’s stage after Oasis played in 2002, this time with new band Beady Eye. Formed with Oasis band members, guitarist Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell and alongside drummer Chris Sharrock, the band will play songs from their eagerly anticipated debut album, Different Gear, Still Speeding, including new single The Roller.

An explosive live performance is guaranteed on Saturday 26 March when Editors break from writing their fourth album and return to the live stage for the first time since completing their 2010 world tour. With two UK number one albums in An End Has A Start and In This Light And On This Evening and a string of hit singles from Munich to Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors and Papillon, Editors will perform their first 2011 date ahead of co-headlining Spain’s SOS 4.8 festival with Suede at the end of April.

MOBO Award winning rapper Tinie Tempah plays the grand finale on Sunday 27 March, marking the Londoner’s first appearance at the Royal Albert Hall and a fantastic opportunity to catch a huge star in the making in the intimate, atmospheric and iconic venue. The breakout star of 2010, who is also the most nominated artist at this year’s Brit Awards, will play hits from Disc-Overy. The album debuted at number one in October 2010 and includes chart topping singles Pass Out, Written in the Stars, Frisky and Miami 2 Ibiza.

Longstanding Teenage Cancer Trust patron Roger Daltrey CBE comments on this year’s line-up, “These gigs have raised nearly £10 million in 10 years and they make a real difference to the lives of thousands of young people with cancer. We’ve had both legends and rising stars play for Teenage Cancer Trust over the years and 2011 is no different. I’m truly grateful to everyone for their support.”

Simon Davies, CEO of Teenage Cancer Trust, “Music plays a huge role in most young people’s lives, whatever they are going through, and it’s a big part of Teenage Cancer Trust. We’re immensely proud of these gigs which help us raise the money we need to give young people with cancer access to the best possible care and professional support.”

Tickets available from £25.00 to £75.00 plus booking fee go on sale at 9.00am on Friday 11 February 2011.

Concerts for Teenage Cancer Trust at The Royal Albert Hall are supported this year by Nomura and American Airlines. Nomura, the global investment bank, supports Teenage Cancer Trust as its London charity and has raised over £800,000 in under two years. American Airlines will be providing transatlantic flights for the show’s artists.
