Jackie Chan has announced that he will be holding a special fundraising concert for victims of the Japanese tsunami and earthquake in Hong Kong next month.

Love Without Borders 3/11 Candlelight Gala will take place at Victoria Park in Hong Kong on April 1, and will feature up to 100 performers.

Jackie hit the recording studio on Thursday with several Hong Kong singers and actors to record the theme song – Succumb Not to Sorrow – for the event.

The action star was quick to respond to the disaster in Japan, sending this message to victims: "The earthquake in Japan was a devastating disaster and I want the Japanese people to know that my thoughts are with them. We all need to do everything we can to help and support the Red Cross and other relief organizations and to pray that the Japanese people will heal quickly from the emotional, physical, and economic devastation."

Proceeds from the event go to The Salvation Army.
