Paula Abdul will be honored by Lupus LA at a special celebrity charity event later this week.

The annual Lupus LA Orange Ball – hosted by Fred Willard – will take place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Thursday, May 12. The evening will feature a special musical performance by Band From TV, the all-star celebrity charity band that includes James Denton, Greg Grunberg, Bob Guiney and others. There will also be an auction that includes tickets to the American Idol final, tickets to New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys shows, a meet-and-greet with George Lopez and much more.

“Always a fabulous party and sensational evening, the Orange Ball promises memorable, exclusive live entertainment,” say the event’s organizers. “The 2011 Orange Ball promises to be the highlight of Lupus Awareness Month in Southern California.”
