Singer songwriter, Mikey Graham, has been unveiled as the latest celebrity ambassador of national charity, Caudwell Children.

The star, best known as one of the chart-topping Irish band, Boyzone, was invited to take the official role after attending a series of events for the charity.

Mikey follows in the footsteps of bandmate, the late Stephen Gately, who was an ambassador for the charity up until his death in October 2009.

In 2011 Mikey hosted a golf event for the charity, inviting celebrities to Loch Lomond in Scotland for two days of golf and fundraising.

Mikey joins the likes of Robbie Williams, Elizabeth Hurley and Peter André as ambassadors of the charity which provides support for disabled children living in the UK.

Founded in 2000, the charity has since provided services worth over £17,000,000 and helped thousands of children with over 350 different medical conditions.

Mikey is among the celebrities expected to attend this year’s ‘Butterfly Ball’, the charity’s glamorous fundraising event in London which regularly raises over £1.5million. This year’s event is scheduled to take place on May 31st at Battersea Evolution.
