UNICEF supporters Manchester United are organizing a special event next month to raise vital funds for children.

UNICEF Ambassador Sir Alex Ferguson, his first team players, a host of celebrities and members of the public will attend the United for UNICEF Gala Dinner on 19 December to raise money for mothers and babies in Senegal, West Africa.

“It’s an important dinner because it maintains the bond we have with UNICEF,” said Sir Alex. “We recognize that it’s our contribution to raise the profile of the charity. It’s always a good night and we really appreciate everyone’s support to make it a huge success year on year.”

Last year’s event raised over £130,000 for United for UNICEF, and they’re aiming to do even better this year.

Manchester United has been working with us since 1999, and has raised over £2.5 million for UNICEF programs, benefiting more than 2.2 million children worldwide.
