Bruce Springsteen is to release a live EP for charity, which will include highlights from his current tour and some very special guest appearances.

Magic Tour Highlights will hit digital download stores on July 15, with all royalties and profits going to the Danny Federici Melanoma Fund – a fund set up in the name of Springsteen’s long-time keyboard player who died earlier this year of skin cancer. The recording will comprise of four audio tracks and four videos, all recorded live during the band’s ongoing “Magic Tour”, with guest performances from members of Rage Against The Machine and The Byrds. It will also feature Danny Federici’s final performance with the E Street Band.

The EP’s track listing is:

  • Always A Friend (with Alejandro Escovedo live in Houston, April 14, 2008)
  • The Ghost of Tom Joad (with Tom Morello live in Anaheim, April 7, 2008)
  • Turn Turn Turn (with Roger McGuinn live in Orlando, April 23, 2008)
  • 4th Of July, Asbury Park (Sandy) (Danny Federici’s final performance
    with the E Street Band live in Indianapolis, March 20, 2008)

Apple’s iTunes Store, where the EP will be available, is also donating its first year’s net profits to the Danny Federici Melanoma Fund.
