Eva Longoria is using Twitter to reach out to fellow celebrities to organize and promote a fundraiser that will help residents of Haiti.

On January 12th, 2010, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake devastated Haiti. The government has reported the number of people dead in the hundreds of thousands. Officials report that the earthquake has also left over a million people homeless.

In an effort to help the homeless, Longoria is working with a charity called A Home for Haiti in order to raise money to provide durable, waterproof tents to the residents of Haiti.

Longoria is reaching out to big stars in order to help her cause. She has already contacted stars like Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige, P. Diddy and Taylor Swift.

In a tweet to Taylor Swift, Longoria writes “Hey Taylor! We have a super simple idea for a charity auction 4 Haiti & would LOVE for U to be a part! Can we send U details?”

Longoria has had repeated success with her attempt to rally support for Haiti. She has already won support from stars Alyssa Milano and Rosario Dawson.

Longoria, who has been involved in a number of charities in the past, was once named Philanthropist of the Year by The Hollywood Reporter.

The auction is expected to launch on September 15, and LookToTheStars.org will bring you more info as it is announced.
