Kenny Scharf is an American, modern artist. He rose to fame in the 80s when he began making sparkly, pop-ed and monstrous paintings and installations. 1985 he was chosen for the Whitney Museum’s Biennial. Since then he has progressed through cartoon-making, contemporary interior design, light installations and graffiti. He has had featured exhibits across America, at the Monterrey Museum of Contemporary Art, the Miami Center for the Fine Arts and The Queens Museum of Art. Scharf is also represented by New York City’s Paul Kasmin Gallery which also shows Andy Warhol, Frank Stella, David Hockney, Morris Louis, Al Held, and others.

He recently donated items to a charity auction for Little Kids Rock.
