The Canadian songstress was joined by Shenae Grimes, Camilla Belle, as well as fellow singer Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles. The female Hollywood stars got together in the early morning to build four new sustainable, affordable homes as part of a seven-home neighborhood located in Lynwood, a Southern California city supported by the Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative.

Wearing a festive pink Habitat For Humanity shirt and a matching hard hat, Avaunt was seen putting together wood frames for homes with Kelly O’Connor (Senior Vice President, Exhibitor & Marketing Services:Warner Bros. Pictures), actress Angelique Bates, friend Katie Luster of Wilshire Austin, as well as writer, director and producer Tom Shadyac.

Later in the day, Grimes’ husband, Josh Beech, joined the all-women construction crew and was seen hugging his wife and helping out the ladies.
