Those recognized at the Live Nation event included Greg Thompson, President of Maverick, Amy Howe, COO of Ticketmaster and her family and Dr. Robert Seeger, Principle Investigator, Cancer Research Program Director, Cancer Research Program 1989-2017, at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

The sold out banquet was hosted by iHeart Radio personalities Lisa Foxx and Clarence Barnes and the crowd enjoyed a delicious dinner catered by the Luxe Hotel and participated in a live silent auction. Items auctioned off included a Tuscan vacation for 4, Bordeaux Wine package for 2, AMA & ESPY Award Show tickets. Other auction items included concert packages, music memorabilia and golf and luxury travel packages.

But the highlight of the evening that brought people to their feet, was when the big reveal was made featuring four T.J Martell Foundation GuitarTown Kids guitars: one signed by the judges on NBC’s The Voice – Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Jennifer Hudson and Miley Cyrus and the other autographed by award-winning artist Pink. The uniquely painted guitars will be auctioned off on Charitybuzz later this month to fund pediatric cancer research at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Additional memorable and colorful moments throughout the event included:
• “It’s hard to celebrate in times like these, but we need to stand together, hold hands and walk together,” shares a solemn Richie Sambora from the stage alongside Orianthi.
RSO performed some legendary classics and brand new songs from their EP Rise, out now.
• Honoree Greg Thompson, President of Maverick, received sweet words from Noah Cyrus and Katy Perry via video feed sharing their love for their friend and all he has done for them and their career.
• Andy Grammer opened up about losing his mother to breast cancer back in 2009 as to why he feels personally touched by the work of the T.J Martell Foundation.
