Anna Wilding was born in New Zealand and resides in America. She has lived and worked throughout the world including London and Australia.

Anna is an award winning director, producer, writer and actress. Ms Wilding has spoken at panels, events including World Earth Week 2007 in New York, and Cannes Film Festival 2008.

She established the Wilding Foundation to provide educational and/or advancement opportunity through scholarship.

Due to Wilding’s generous and extensive consultancy and investigative work on Lord of the Rings (prior to and then in tandem with the American Humane Association Film Unit) there are now both better general safety regulations and standards, and new animal welfare laws and rules governing the film industry in NZ. In 2007 was officially and publicly thanked, by the American producers of Lord of the Rings, for her humanitarian and consultant work on the trilogy.

Wilding combined with Rialto Cinemas to donate proceeds from a sell out cinema showing of the rough cut of Buddha Wild: Monk in a Hut to the tsunami relief appeal in 2005. She later did an outdoor gala screening in Yosemite Pines Resort Bass Lake United States to benefit Amnesty International. As well as the film screening in commercial cinemas in the USA in 2007/2008, there were several additional special event screenings to benefit non-profit groups in New York and elsewhere – such as Tibet House and Zen Institute.

Anna is also the founder of Kalon Skincare, a company with a difference. Philanthropy is a driving force behind the company, based in Christchurch, a city devastated by large quakes. For every pottle sold through KalonSkincare.com that enters “Wilding Foundation” in the payment section, $ 5.00 goes to The Wilding Foundation.

Kalon Skincare is a brand new natural beauty product, using the hottest ingredient in skincare, bee venom, for those who wish to keep their skin looking fresh, vital and new. Anna’s Pocket Bee Venom Vitality Cream Mask contains the best of nature’s ingredients. Anna said that she wanted to create a product that was natural with active ingredients, but also had a decent shelf life . She wanted a product that was of benefit to the skin, no matter which climate or city she was in worldwide. “That’s why I have created packaging that is simple, lightweight, and no fuss, so it can be transported easily and slipped into your pant pocket or bag,” she said. “My company also uses ecologically clean natural ingredients, such as bee venom from New Zealand”
